Linda Sue Park is the author of more than 20 books for young readers, including A SINGLE SHARD, which was awarded the prestigious Newbery Medal in 2002. She has also written the New York Times bestseller A LONG WALK TO WATER, as well as several other award-winning novels and picture books. Her most recent titles are FOREST OF WONDERS, the Wing & Claw series Book 1, a middle-grade fantasy from HarperCollins, and YAKS YAK, a wordplay picture book from Clarion/HMH. The daughter of immigrant parents, Ms. Park draws on her Korean ancestry for much of her work.
